Competent Crew - Catamaran

This course offers a comprehensive introduction to sailing, equipping you with the skills necessary to become a valuable member of any yacht crew. It's perfect for novices or those with minimal experience who desire a strong foundation before advancing to the next level. Throughout the course, you will learn the fundamental techniques required to steer a boat using a compass heading, set and trim sails, operate winches, prepare a boat to enter and leave a harbor, pick up moorings and anchors, and perform basic ropework and knot tying.

Pre-Requisites

The RYA Competent Crew course was designed for students with little experience, therefore there are no formal course requirements. However all sailing courses require a certain amount of physical activity. If you are unsure as to your ability to take part in a course please contact us to discuss.
